Day 1 – Arrival in Djanet

Arrival at Djanet Airport and welcome by your Tuareg guides. Visit to the Tassili Museum.

Lunch in Taghen. Cross Timghas and Tilalene, where you’ll admire breathtaking geological formations and ancient rock paintings.

Dinner and overnight bivouac in Tikobauin.

Day 2 – Essendilène Valley

Morning visit to the magnificent Essendilène Valley.

Lunch. Afternoon trek to the guelta (natural water basin).

Dinner and bivouac in Essendilène.

Day 3 – Bordj El-Haouès & Oasis Ihrir

Visit the Bordj El-Haouès museum, which houses a rich collection of historical and cultural artifacts from the Tassili region.

Lunch.

Dinner and bivouac at the Oasis of Ihrir.

Day 4 – Valley of Idaran

Descend through the valley towards Idaran.

Lunch.

Dinner and bivouac in Idaran.

Day 5 – Rock Art & Erg Edmer Dunes

Morning visit to the rock art sites of Tin-Taghert in Dider.

Lunch.

Dinner and bivouac among the dunes of Erg Edmer.

Day 6 – From the Erg to Tegharghart

Departure by 4×4 across the Erg towards Tifartassen.

Lunch.

Dinner and bivouac in Tegharghart.

Day 7 – Return to Djanet

Return to Djanet. Stroll through the town and the souk—an opportunity to shop for local souvenirs—before your return flight
