Day 1: Arrival – Constantine
Arrival at Constantine International Airport. Meet your francophone guide and transfer to the hotel. Begin with a city orientation and marvel at the fortress perched over the deep gorges of the Rhumel River. Enjoy a traditional dinner of Chukhuchukha Dfar in a lively local restaurant.
Day 2: Constantine – Sétif
Travel to the UNESCO World Heritage site of Djémila, one of the best-preserved Roman towns in the world. Explore the Arc of Caracalla, grand baths, forum, basilica, baptistery, and mosaics. Continue in the afternoon to Sétif to see Ain El Fouara statue, ruins, and city park. Dinner in a traditional Feremsa restaurant.
Day 3: Sétif – Constantine
Return to Constantine. Stroll the historic Casbah with its winding alleys. Cross the impressive Pont Sidi-M’Cid, soaring 175 meters above the Rhumel River. Visit the Palais du Bey with its white marble halls and vibrant paintings, then admire the Emir Abdelkader Mosque, a masterpiece of Andalusian architecture. Dinner with local street food specialties.
Day 4: Constantine – Timgad – Constantine
Depart for Timgad, stopping at the Mausolé de Medghassen, the oldest royal mausoleum in North Africa (3rd century BC). Explore Timgad, founded by Emperor Trajan in 100 AD and nicknamed the “Pompéi of North Africa.” Tour Lambèse ruins before returning to Constantine.
Day 5: Departure
Transfer to Constantine International Airport according to your flight schedule for your journey home.
